Take part in the third edition of the Bedale Hunt Challenge!

The Bedale Hunt Challenge Ride, kindly sponsored by Bon Coeur Fine Wines, will take place for the third time at the Bedale Point to Point Races on Saturday  09 April 2016.

Run after the last race, this is the ultimate challenge to end the hunting season. The race is open to  those who have never ridden over the sticks, or those who have done it and want a reminder of the adrenaline rush . The Young, the New, the Uninitiated and the Mature are all welcome to participate.

The Course
The Challenge will take place over approx 1.5 circuits of the Point to Point Course covering approx 1.9 Miles. Ten fences will be jumped, commencing at the far side of the course and finishing at the winning post on the second occasion of passing it, but omitting the open ditch.
The Optimum Time will be described as a “good steady hunting gallop”. As a guide, this is set at Intermediate BE Eventing pace [350m per minute] . The optimum time is an important underpin parameter as this is the key differential, that this is a RIDE and not a Race.
