The ground is currently Good to Soft, with further rainfall to come ahead of the 9th April meeting.
Clerk of the Course David Ford says, “At the moment, the going is Good to Soft at Hornby Castle. Rain is forecast during the forthcoming week and we expect that we will have some ease in the ground for the Point to Point.
The course was reseeded in places following last year’s meeting, thanks to Armstrong Richardson and M. Metcalfe and Sons of Silver Hill, and there is an excellent grass covering. Local suppliers Watt Fences have replaced the open ditch fence this year and our teams of volunteers will be hard at work over the next ten days to ensure that the course is in perfect condition for racing on 9th April.”
