Good to Soft Ground for Saturday

The BHA course inspector visited Hornby Castle on Tuesday morning and declared the going to be officially Good to Soft ahead of Saturday’s point to point meeting. With showers forecast until raceday, the ground is likely to remain perfect for steeplechasing. A pleasing entry of 87 has been made for the six races of the Bedale Point to Point.

Going Update for 9th April

The ground is currently Good to Soft, with further rainfall to come ahead of the 9th April meeting. Clerk of the Course David Ford says, “At the moment, the going is Good to Soft at Hornby Castle.
